[00:10] --In our last session the party basicily met up and passed the rigorous(^^) test to become members of the New World Expoloration League [00:10] * Diresinger mills around the docks, looking like an expentant lover way he's holding roses and candy. [00:11] reciving the modest sum of 50 gold and tickets for the steam ship, the party went shopping and Dire managed to get some peace from his admiriers [00:11] Now the party converges at the docks,a busy port full of medium sized fishing boats and sailing ships [00:12] Dire: Dock seems to be free of women for the most part, or what you can easily identify as women...You've heard some tales in the past about sea-fering women that aren't flattering [00:12] "Do not say we must travel by such primitive vessels..." [00:12] * Diresinger plays it safe by finding a good hiding spot to watch for the others from. [00:13] No, for your vessel is a massive Steam Ship. It dwarves the other boats twice over. It has two large smoke stacks in the middle and looks like it could hold a whole town inside it [00:14] "Ugh, filthy. I feel unclean being near the thing. I wonder what is keeping the others?" [00:14] Dire: You duck behind the cabin near the massive steam ship, the smell of coal reaching your nose...Strangely you feel two hands cover your eyes as you hid there and hear voice of two young women whisper out 'Dire-sama' [00:14] Vresius: Your pacing near the entrance of the ship, growling as you wait for them to let you on board [00:14] "Argh!" Diresinger yells in surprise, leaping away, only to stumble and land flat on his face. [00:15] * Vresius growls in a threatening manner. [00:16] Dire: The girls pick you up and make sure yoru all right before they glomp you... [00:17] Natsuko, Renee: You see Dire getting glomped as you walk towards the dock...You also see a mysterious man in a cloak pacing around the dock... [00:17] * Natsuko walks toward the ships, fumbling with the new braid and wondering again why she bought such a silly thing. [00:17] "I'm certainly not all right! I need to breathe... and besides you're crushing the flowers I got for you." [00:17] Vresius: You see the service show in front of you and a group of wood elves laughing to the side of you... [00:17] * Renee looks at the man, feeling a bit peckish [00:18] * Vresius glances at them for a moment, then looks back at the ship. [00:18] Dire; The lady in the miko outfit, a tight fitting one who you think goes by the name Lucenda glomps you as you say this 'But Dire-sama, all we really want is you...' [00:18] Vresius: A stout man with a beard walks past you and says the ship will be ready in a few minutes [00:19] * Vresius grunts in the man's direction. [00:19] GM: "But this rose is delicate, and must be treated gently, gently." [00:19] Dire: The lady wearing the very revealing suit of armour, who's name is Fam, picks the candy up and starts to eat it 'But Lucenda, these gifts are for Dire-sama...' [00:19] Vresisu: the man grunts back as he heads off... [00:20] * Diresinger sighs in relief when one of them at least falls for the candy lure and he is only half suffocated. [00:21] * Natsuko lets the ends of the braid hang loose as she gets closer to the ship, devoting more of her attention to scowling at Diresinger. [00:21] Dire: The other one grabs the flowers and place one in her hair and says 'Kawaii!!!' [00:22] * Diresinger notices Natsuko's look and tries to subtly edge away from his fans, in the direction of the ship. [00:22] Dire; You notice a distinct lack of followers on the docks...Only ones visable are Ellica, Fam, and Lucinda [00:23] * Vresius begins pacing once again, his massive cloak billowing behind him in the breeze. [00:23] GM: "Have the others not decided to come?" asks hopefully. [00:23] * Renee shudders a bit at the large body of running water [00:23] Lucenda: No, we lost them...Since none of them knew how to fight we figured they shouldn't come to the new world [00:24] Fam: but we know how to take care of ourselves so me and Lucenda have come along to protect you!!! [00:24] Ellica: I'll protect you to Dire-sama...Minna... [00:25] GM: "Ah, but do you not think that you should stay behind as well? For while you might be able to protect yourselves here, the dangers of the new world are great." [00:25] Fam: but who will protect you Dire-sama. My sword skills will surely help you!! [00:26] GM: "But I could not allow you to risk yourself for myself. It would not be right." [00:26] Suddenly you hear a loud voice booming from somewhere, you can't make out where, 'All aboard, New World Exploration League ship now boarding...' [00:26] * Vresius turns and heads for the ship, cloak in full billow. [00:26] Lucenda: But it's our duty to protect you Dire-sama! [00:27] * Natsuko wakes from her brooding to look for the boarding area. [00:27] GM: "Ahh, how sadly we must now depart!" Dire shouts before running for the ship. [00:27] And with that your carried off towards the ship by the girls, Ellica falling decently behind staying close enough to Renee [00:28] The entrance dock is guarded by two rather burly and surly men [00:28] * Diresinger sighs dramaticaly at his lot in life, and starts to mental compose a song about this meloncholy. [00:28] * Renee smiles at Ellica and gets ready to board [00:29] Only about 15 people seem to be boarding the ship (not including the party) [00:29] 'Form a single line and have your tickets ready!! Please follow all directions once on board or else you'll be tossed over. No Exceptions!!!' [00:30] * Diresinger gets his ticket ready and tries to placate the glomping girls by simply holding their hands and trying to keep them at arms length. [00:31] Vresius: Your at the front of the line. The man looks you over and whispers something to the other man while taking your ticket. Body check to listen in [00:31] 2d6 [00:31] 12 Vresius, 2d6 12 ( 6 ) [00:31] made it [00:31] Dire: Fam and Lucenda both can't seem to say no and place there hands all over, causing you to laugh.. [00:32] * Natsuko gets her ticket ready, shifting in place somewhat nervously. [00:32] GM: "Please... stop... this is... embassising." [00:32] Vresius: You hear them whisper 'Troublemaker, keep an eye on him' before the snap to attention and direct you the common lounge' on board the ship [00:32] Dire; But Dire-sama, it's all right to show off a healthy relationship!!! [00:32] * Vresius shuffles past, ignoring them, though drags the tip of his sword on teh ground between them. [00:33] Vresius: You feel as if there watching you as you walk up the stairs for a moment before you head to common lounger [00:33] Dire, Fam: I think Dire-sama needs a spanking later!!! [00:34] "Eeep!" [00:34] Natsuko: Your up after a party of 5 high elves proceed, sending dirty looks your way. [00:34] * Natsuko scowls pack at them. [00:34] back.. [00:34] Natsuko: The guy takes your ticket and tells you where the common lounge is... [00:35] * Diresinger tries to get further up the line to escape their affections, looking for other party members. [00:35] Natsuko: They just laugh at you... [00:35] Dire: You see Ellica and Renee in front of you, with Natsuko walking up into the ship...You can't go far as the girls catch up to you [00:35] * Natsuko fumes and tries to find this lounge. [00:35] * Renee frowns and makes a note that he hasn't eaten elf in a long while [00:36] Natsuko: It's rather easy to find... [00:36] Renee: It's your turn. The guys ask you for a ticket as he nervously looks you over for some reason... [00:37] * Natsuko mutters beneath her breath, "Spirits! Of all the insufferable creatures on this planet, why does it have to be them..." [00:37] * Renee hands ticket over [00:37] *Oh, how I wish I had been more athletic in my youth.* [00:37] Renee: He tells you to proceed to the common lounge in a nervous voice [00:38] * Renee gives a nod and makes sure Ellica is right behind [00:38] Dire: Your turn. The guy looks at you with a strange mix of disgust, envy, lust, and hate at the same time... [00:38] Renee: Right behidn you, though she's looking back at Dire-sama every few seconds..' [00:39] Dire: He takes the tickets, tells you to go to the common lounge, and says to be decent... [00:39] Dire; of course the girls glomp you as they hand over their tickets and carry you towards the common lounge [00:39] GM: I hand him the ticket and wait patiently, with a look reserved for humans in general, ie mild contempt. [00:40] * Renee doesn't blame her, licking her lips at Dire [00:40] GM: "I can walk, you realize. It's unseemly for you fair ladies to act such a way. Think of your repuation." [00:40] Dire; They return it as they direct you along... [00:41] Dire: Silly Dire-sama, we're just being friendly in public [00:41] * Natsuko stares at nowhere in particular, briefly entertaining the fantasy that she is at home in the forest. [00:41] They giggle cutely as they drag you alonh... [00:42] * Diresinger sighs and glances around the lounge, knowing that these fans, being the last of the lot, will be nigh impossible to shake off. [00:42] Anyway, the path to the lounge heads inside the ship. [00:43] The inside is made all of metal and seems to be welded togther in way you've never seen. the Humming of the steam engines and the smells of coal fill the air around here, though they seem to fade as you go along... [00:43] The hallways are all lit by source which seems to be a candle but isn't.. [00:44] GM: "A curious contraption. Don't you think so, ladies?" Dire asks, pointing out everything in order to distract them. [00:44] Dire: They're distracted, looking on in awe as they walk along. They haven't let go of you but the glomping has stopped... [00:45] eventually you all reach the common lounge, a room which appears to be the size of your average inn tavern though it's better furnished and more well lit than any inn you've seen [00:46] "No music? How pedstrian." Dire heads over to Natsuko if he can find her, the others if not. [00:46] The floors are well carpted and chairs are around for sitting in. Off to the side is some refreshmients... [00:46] * Vresius stands silently in the corner, his sword held in front of him, tip against the floor. [00:47] Vresius: Most of the ships crew eye you carefull as you stand, and some out right glare at you [00:47] * Vresius looks back from beneath his cowl, but does not move. [00:47] Vresius: The party of high elves in the corner also seems to be openly pointing and laughing at you, though they seem to be doing that with everyone else that isn't with them... [00:48] Dire: The room is full of about 20 people not including ships crew. You see Natsuko off in the corner near Ellice and Renee and also spot a man in a cloak off in an another corner brooding [00:48] * Vresius glances at the elves, then dismisses them. [00:49] * Renee looks around, noting most except for the lone man would be missed if she went for a snack [00:49] vresius: The laughing seems to pick up as you glance at them, than dies down when a little girl runs into one of the elves... [00:49] * Renee sighs and hopes the blood packets will last [00:50] * Natsuko continues to sigh and stare at nothing. [00:50] * Diresinger picks up some refreshments and walks over to Natsuko with a very careful expression on his face. Offers her a glass. "A drink for my traveling companion." [00:51] Natsuko: Lucinda and Fam wave at you in a firendly manner... [00:51] * Natsuko blinks a few times. "What? Oh.. just you.. what do you want?" [00:52] Vresius: You see the girl bow in apology as the elves yell at her. She's turns to leave and misses the elves making some natsy comments about her. However something odd seems odd with the girl. Roll a Soul check [00:53] Natsuko: "Nothing, I am an elf with only the simple desire to settle down somewhere peaceful and serene, perhaps raise a family. I have no true ambitions." [00:53] Natsuko: The girls introduce themselves as Fam and Lucinda to you. They talk about what fun the trip will be and adventurew with Dire-sama all at a highly fast and cute pace. [00:53] 2d6 [00:53] 12 Vresius, 2d6 12 ( 10 ) [00:53] fail [00:54] Vresius: Seems like a normal little girl crying...Damn those rotten elves for making her cry... [00:54] * Natsuko accepts the glass. "This still doesn't mean I don't dislike you or anything.." [00:55] Girls: "Why are you following a guy like him? Don't you have better things to do at home?" [00:56] Suddenly the ships crew comes to attention as a man walks in wearing a clean and crisp white uniform. he has short black hair and is wearing white gloves and for some weird reason has sunglasses on inside the ship. [00:56] Natsuko: "It would be arrogant of me to think otherwise. Judge me as you will, though I hope your opinion of me will improve during this journey." [00:56] He looks over the room clodly, almost glaring through his glasses at everyone in the room... [00:57] Natsuko: We need to protect Dire-sama!!! We wouldn't want him to get hurt... [00:57] *** GM is now known as Captain [00:57] * Captain coughs [00:58] * Diresinger feels a sudden chill. [00:58] 'May I please have some silence?' he asks quietly, glaring at the room... [00:59] 'I am the Captain of this ship, you may call me Captain. My word is the law, period' [00:59] 'I will not hesitate to toss anyone overboard if I feel like it,' [00:59] * Diresinger tries to remember how to swim just in case. [01:00] Captain glares some more at the audience, and folds his hands in front of his face [01:00] * Natsuko pales just a little. [01:00] 'Now, you're all new members of the New World Exploration League right?' [01:01] * Diresinger says nothing, as the Captain asked for silence. [01:01] *snicker* [01:01] 'As you are members of the league it is my duty to inform you a bit about the new world and answer any questions you have about the New world...' [01:02] * Diresinger edges closer to Natsuko, but not enough to invade her personal space. [01:03] * Captain glares at a member of the crew. causing him to move in panic and bring a glass of water up to the stage. Another brings chair and places it behind some he can sit down... [01:04] *This man radiates power and a authority... hopefully Fam and Lucinda will be attracted to it.* [01:05] * Natsuko idly twirls a lock of hair around a finger, biting her lip. [01:05] 'The city you will be heading to is NewPort, a newly established shipping and trading post in the country of Sian [01:05] Dire: Fam and Lucinda still have their hands all over you, but don't seem to be as energetic as they were before...' [01:06] * Diresinger very carefully, so they don't notice, takes their hands and frees himself. [01:07] 'You all know you will be hosed in a League inn for the first little while as your assigned jobs. I will remind you though to be on your best behavior while in Newport. If you reflect badly on the league we'll find a way to correct it...' [01:07] Dire: Roll a Body Check, +1 [01:07] 2d6 [01:07] 12 Diresinger, 2d6 12 ( 6 ) [01:07] 'Now, since we have some experience in Sian and in the New world you may want to ask us some questions. So feel free to ask them now..' [01:08] Captain: Do get -1 for Stealth skill? If not then just failed. [01:08] Dire: No...Stealth more is the art of not being seens...Since the hands know your there you can't really out stealth them... [01:09] * Natsuko cough and raises an arm. [01:09] * Captain glares at Natsuko 'Your question Miss?' [01:10] Captain: Then failed. [01:10] Dire: Hands still have you, though the grip does seem to be loosened and not as indecent as before [01:10] "Are there any new diseases in Sian that we should avoid?" [01:10] *Well, at least that's something.* [01:11] * Captain sips quietly from his glass of water before he answers 'While there are some local disease they're nothing to worry about. No worse than the common Edien flu. We can give you a shot though if your worried..' [01:12] High elves laugh at that, making a few cat calls about the wood elf being a coward before the Captain silence them with a glare of steel... [01:12] Is the doctor a blonde chick you've been secretly boinking? :p [01:12] * Natsuko wilts back into her chair. [01:12] Sore wa himitsu desu [01:13] 'Now if the childish are done interrupting me than we can move onto some more questions... [01:15] Lucinda raises her hand up 'Anou, but do you have any paddles onboard? We may need some later..' [01:15] * Diresinger tries to hide himself in his chair without much success. [01:16] Dire: Most of the room looks at you wearily, and you can even see the captain looking at you with an even bigger glare [01:16] * Diresinger is too intimidated to say or do anything. [01:17] 'We do have oars on board, though they're rarely used in that manner. I'm sure the crew would be happy to help you.' [01:17] Crew looks nervously at the captain for a second before they snap back to attention.. [01:17] 'Now do we have anymore questions? [01:19] 'Very well, so ends this session. Please excuse me but I have to go back to the bridge now. The crew will show you to your assigned quarters. Please follow them. Lights out will be coming soon...' [01:19] * Diresinger let's out a relieved breath as the captain leaves. [01:19] 'Everyone, we have three days till we reach Newport. And I sincerly hope I don't have to see any of you again...' [01:19] The captain turns and leaves [01:19] *** Captain is now known as GM [01:20] Lucinda: "You really shouldn't be saying such things, even in jest. It only causes trouble." [01:21] * Natsuko stares into her glass and murmurs "It's only three days..." [01:21] Members of the crew walk towards you and bow slighltly (or growl as in the case of Vresius) and asks you to follow him to his room... [01:21] Dire: In Jest? But I really wanted a paddle!!!! [01:21] Lucenda giggles cutely [01:21] * Vresius lifts his sword into a ready position and follows silently. [01:22] * Natsuko nods and stands to follow. [01:22] Lucinda: "But I don't believe this ship is in any danger of sinking... so it's not something you will need." [01:22] Dire: The man looks at you and quitely says 'I'm sorry sir but females have seperate quarters...' [01:23] Dire: Oh will need it. Especially if someone decides to be a bad boy...tee hee! [01:23] Dire; Fam and Lucenda pout as this happens and shout out 'No, we want to stay with dire-sama!!!' [01:24] GM: "Of course! It wouldn't be right any other way. Now you must follow their directions, ladies." *laughs nervously* [01:24] vresius: Man stops right by Dire and seems to tap his foot while waiting. He turns slightly to you and mutters something about him being your roomate while he taps his foot.. [01:24] Lucenda, Fam: But Dire-sama, we need to stay togther so we can protect you. Pleases Dire-sama!!! [01:25] There eyes start to water up in a shoujo fashion as they plead there case, the two guards glaring at you as this happens [01:25] Luc, Fam: "But you will always be with me, forever held within my heart so matter what the distance, we will always be together, even if it be on the other side of the world." [01:25] *Preferably the other side of the world* [01:26] * Vresius speaks in a low, gravelly voice that sounds vaguely unhuman, "Roommate?" [01:26] Dire: 'Oh dire-sama...' They melt at the words, 'it's only one night...But..but...' [01:26] * Renee smiles at Ellica, "maybe we'll get to be room mates" [01:26] vresius: Crew member looks at you 'Captains orders..All League members will have a bunk mate for the trip...' [01:26] * Natsuko spares a quick glance at the high elves, hoping that none of them are female.. [01:27] Luc, Fam: Puts hand on each shoulder. "Ladies, please. I will see you both again in the morning." [01:27] Renee: The crew member leads you towards Natsuko, Ellica in tow. "Follow me and I'll show you your sleeping quarters for the night...' [01:27] * Vresius says nothign more. [01:27] Dire:"Hai Dire-sama...Just remember you'll make it up to us later!!!' [01:28] The girls bounce off and are lead away by the crew members...They seem to be talking about something cheery though you can barely hear it...Body check Dire [01:28] Luc, Fam. "Of course," he replies, like a prisoner talking about his fate. [01:28] 2d6 [01:28] 12 Diresinger, 2d6 12 ( 5 ) [01:28] makes it. [01:29] Dire; They seem to be planning out your later and it makes you pale as it involves paddles, whips, and leather... [01:29] * Renee frowns at Natsuko also being in the room. [01:29] Dire; The crew members just laughs as this goes along and look back towards you with a rather big grin... [01:30] *It wouldn't be so bad being tossed overboard.* [01:30] Natsuko: Some of the high elves look female, though it's so hard to tell since most of them look bishonen [01:30] Dire: Anyway, your alone with the crew member and the mysterious man in the cloak. [01:30] o/"Oh one must be careful, otherwise he might trip and fall"/o sings in the direction of the laughing crew member. [01:30] 2d6 [01:30] 12 Diresinger, 2d6 12 ( 9 ) [01:31] He points for you guys to follow along, though he pretty much makes it clear it's more of a demand than a request [01:31] * Natsuko takes a look at the pale girl."I'm sorry, I seem to have forgotten your name... I'm Natsuko, and you are?" [01:31] And makes check, so tripping spell should work. [01:31] Dire: he trips and falls on his butt...He gets up and looks quite sore but his eyes suddenly seem to star over for a second... [01:31] Dire: Roll a body check [01:32] With one last look, and shudder, in direction of where girls had gone, follows the crew member. [01:32] 2d6 [01:32] 12 Diresinger, 2d6 12 ( 7 ) [01:32] fails. [01:33] Dire: You chuckle a bit and can't hear what he whispered. The crew mmember leading you to your room grabs ahold of your shoulder and looks at you 'Are you coming sir?' [01:33] GM: "Of course, I was simply waiting for you to lead the way." [01:33] Man grunts and motions for you to follow... [01:34] Both parties are lead to their rooms through the twists and turns of the ship... [01:34] Till each group comes to their room and are motioned to enter by the crew member [01:34] * Diresinger takes out his guitar and practices a few chords as he walks. [01:34] * Diresinger enters as instructed. [01:35] 'You have a hot meal waiting for you inside. Lights out will be in one hour...' [01:35] * Vresius follows, then immediately stands in the corner, same manner as in the lounge, [01:36] The room you enter has 4 beds and seems to be sparsly decorated. A small foot locker is at the front of the bed and of to the side is what looks like a bathroom... [01:36] * Diresinger goes to the food and eats his portion with a mild look of distaste, no matter what it is. [01:36] * Natsuko enters her room, glancing back at the others [01:36] Vresius: "Would you not be more comfortable sitting, whoever you are? ... you're not a human female, are you?" [01:36] On the taple is a meal for each person in the room, a stew like meal with a morsel of bread and a bun of to the side. The crew members bows as he leaves, and shuts the door behind him. A loud clicking sound is heard as it's shut... [01:37] Ellica giggles as she runs in, leaping onto the closest bed 'I call this one...' [01:37] * Vresius grunts at Diresinger and falls silent again. [01:37] * Renee chooses a bed close to Ellica [01:38] Vresius: "The silent type, I see. Well, no matter." Goes back to eating. [01:38] Ellica jumps up and down and shouts 'Wai Renee-sempai, Wai!!!' [01:38] Dire: The food is pretty blande, though better than most of the meals you cook for yourself... [01:38] * Natsuko sits on a bed farther on and sighs. [01:39] * Renee wipes some drool at the sight of healthy enthusiasm... [01:39] The soft rumbling of the ships engines can be heard in the rooms [01:39] The lights slowly start to die as the hour pass, signlaing the start of the sleep time... [01:40] So who's going to go to sleep here? [01:40] * Diresinger finishes up eating, wipes his mouth, and with a happy sigh lies down on a bad. "Ahh, peace at last." He closes his eyes and starts to snooze. [01:40] bed, I mean. [01:40] heh heh [01:41] * Renee feels more alive at night so stays up a bit [01:42] * Diresinger starts to humm lightly in his sleep instead of snoring. [01:42] * Natsuko lies back in bed, looking at the ceiling. [01:43] Vresius, do you sleep like a normal human? ^^ [01:43] Of course not. :) [01:43] So your staying up than? [01:43] * Diresinger has a wonderful dream of a peaceful homey setting, complete with elven wife that looks suspiciously like Natsuko and no human females. [01:43] I'm restign in the corner. No need to expend more energy than necessary [01:44] Dire: Your dream is soon invaded by Fam and lucenda, complete with paddles as they spank you in front of Natsuko... [01:44] Right... [01:44] * Natsuko mutters "baka high elves" and slips off to sleep. [01:44] Everyone that's sleeping, well have a good night sleep...:P [01:45] * Diresinger frowns and rolls over in his sleep, in the grips of a horrible nightmare. "No... not the frying pan..." [01:45] 2d6 [01:45] 12 Renee, 2d6 12 ( 7 ) [01:46] * Renee waits until an hr before dawn before she gets ready for bed, sleeping earlier than normal [01:48] * Diresinger frowns a bit when in his dream, after finally having chased away his fans, his wife now resembles Renee... [01:51] * Diresinger yawns as he awakes out of strange dreams and heads to the bathroom, not even noting Vresius still in the corner. [01:51] The loud noise of a trumpet fills your room as the doors fly open. As the people sleeping groggily awaken the find the room filled with a large number crew members [01:52] Dire: a Crew members stops you from moving and growls 'Get dressed, you have a meeting with the captain now...' [01:52] * Natsuko shrieks and crawls farther back in the bed. [01:52] GM: "But how will I make myself presentable if I don't make use of the facilities?" [01:52] Natsuko: the crew member rips the sheets off and glares at you 'Hurry up. The Captain wants to see you know...' [01:53] Dire: We don't care. the Captain wants to see you know. You don't want to dissapoint the captain now? [01:53] * Vresius steps out of the corner and lifts hsi sword. [01:53] GM: "Well, I can't be there now, can I? Another few minutes won't make so much difference." [01:53] Vresius: Your surrounded by 5 burly guards 'Come now...Or else!!' they grunt [01:54] Dire: 'No...you go know. The Captain does not like to be put off...' [01:54] * Natsuko quickly nods and slips out of bed. [01:54] * Renee sleeps, not a morning person, and ssnnkkt's her claws at the sound [01:54] Natsuko, Renee: Ellica seems to be near tears as the guards start to herd you and her along... [01:54] GM: "I'm certainly not putting them off, and if you hadn't stopped be I'd be ready by now." [01:55] Renee: Still in bed? [01:55] yeah, but if I hear Ellica crying my senses will wake [01:56] Dire: 'You can either come under your own power or you can be carried by us. Your choice but your going now...'
