Hearing of the people's, Yuuko took it upon herself to ease the plague that the spirits told her ravaged the land. She left her home and loved one and was never again seen under greenwood. Her husband, cursing the the life that had shackled him there, forsook that place. He took their only child with him and began teaching the child the woodlore that the males of the Greenleaf line had used to protect the forest since time beyond memory. That the child resented losing her mother and had already taken the first steps down the path of the healer's vocation did not concern him much. While he mourned the loss of his wife, Greenleaf knew little of the healing arts. The child recieved no further instruction in her mother's craft until one day when an elderly matron, having been sent by the spirits, gifted the child with a small pendant, a comfort for the childs loss and a tool with which to focus her skills. In the fullness of time, the child grew to a beautiful lady. As a result of her father's training and to ward of the glances of the unsavory, she took to concealing her name and nature from the world. At times, this itself forced her to flee a suddenly hostile villiage. It was at this time that a command - a desire came upon her with the fury of the wind: to go forth to that newly found land spoken of in whispers and seek her lost mother. She recognized from descriptions the calling of the spirits and let them lead her as they willed. Quote:
