When the people of Gianax decided to make the Gunbuster OVA, they spent a lot of time and money to compose the soundtrack. Even though it was meant only for six 30 minute OVAs, it is among the best, even today nearly decade later. The CD Collection originally came in a black box and two booklets. One of the booklets had a the same cover as the outer cardboard box. It was was 48 pages in length and had scans of nearly every single page (and more) of the two previously released Gunbuster CDs. It also gave some information of the track listing of the CD box. The other booklet (pictured above) was the jewel of the two. It was 47 pages and all color! Nearly every page has three or four beautiful pictures. At the end of the booklet, there was a written timeline of the key events from Gunbuster. Later pressings may not have the box nor the second booklet.
