This was the first Suchie Pai game made for the Sega Saturn. The character designs were done by Kenichi Sonoda, whos previous works include Bubblegum Crisis, Gunsmith Cats, Gall Force, and Genesis Climber Mospeada. This strip mahjong game allows you to select 7 different characters at the beginning including Yuki, Rumi, Siho, Sayuri, Erika, Rie, and Mai. After winning a hand, depending how good of hand you had, you are given certain number of chances to clear a sixteen block matching game. Pairing them up will give you "power-ups" to use in the game. Of course, if you manage to match all the blocks, even though you may not have depleted all her money, you automatically win and treated with some nice images. Though not nearly as good as Suchie Pai 2, it is still one of the better mahjong games and should be sought...if found.
