Game Information

Idol Janshi Suchie-Pai II
Idol Jansi Suchie-Pai II was perhaps one of the best looking mahjong games ever made. Its a two disc stripping mahjong game. The character designs were done by famed artist Kenichi Sonoda whos previous works include Genesis Climber Mospeada, Gall Force, Bubblegum Crisis, and Gunsmith Cats. In the game, you play as Suchie-Pai. You can select another character to help you against other opponents. Later on, many of your "victims" will join you. The cast of the characters that eventually join you include Cherry-Pai, MIlky-Pai, Peach-Pai, and Lemon-Pai. There are two ways of defeating the computer controlled opponent. The first way is to win all of her money. The second way is, after you win a round (but not enough to clean her out), you have a matching game. Depending on how badly you defeated your opponent in the match will determine how many turns you have to clear this board. Should you clear this board before taking all her money, you win the match and she must then strip down. During the matching game, you can pick up powerups which will make life a lot easer against some of the computer controlled players. As you progress to the final boss, the amount of money they possess begins to skyrocket, which can make things a bit difficult. On the menu screen, you can playback 7 different songs that are heard during the game. They include six solo songs done by the characters and a song with all of them. On the second disc, there is another seperate mahjong game. There are 15 character total (you meet all these characters during the game on disc1 but don't play against them). You must select one of them and must then defeat the other fourteen opponents. After beating them all, you can view how Miyuri Sakrai, a nine year old child, looks in the outfit of the girl you used. Its rather dull gift considering what you have to go through. The rest of the disc is made up of movies from 3 of the seiyuus. The seiyuus from the game itself included Mika Kanai (Suchie-Pai), Konami Yoshida (Peach-Pai), Rica Matsumoto (Lemon-Pai), Yuko Mizuntani (Cherry-Pai), Kimiko Nishihara (Peach-Pai), Miki Takahashi (Yuki Sizuno), and Ai Orikasa. A very interesting addition...if you could understand Japanese. The OP animation of both CDs is absolutely incredible and could be mistaken for PSX. For mahjong players, this game rules...but could be difficult to find. Add in the fact Kenichi Sonoda worked on this, this game is highly collectible and should not be missed.
