(Opening scene: We are in the amusment park where we can see Ranma and Shori getting off the ferris wheel. Shori is carrying a big teady bear Ranma had one in that coin tossing game while Ranma is holding a stuffed puppy he had one from one of those crane machines.) Shori: That was pretty fun.(Nudges Ranma)Ne? Ranma: Uh huh. Shori: So, what ride do you want to go on next? How about the marry-go- round? Ranma: Sure. That sounds great. (Together, Ranma and Shori head off toward another part of the amusement park) (The scene changes onto Ryoga and Akane. They are both standing in front of the local movie theater. Ryoga has this shocked look on his face as he looks up at the front sign of the movie theater) Ryoga: I-I didn't get lost.(Thinking)Thank the gods. Love must had guided me. Akane: (Smiles slightly)So, um, Ryoga, what movie would you like to see? Ryoga: M-movie? Akane: Yes. Ryoga: Oh yeah, a movie. How about that one? (Points at a random title) Akane: That? Um, a-are you sure? Ryoga: Sure, why not? Akane: (Gulps)Um, o-okay.(Thinking)I've read reviews of that movie. It's supposed to be really really scary. I don't know if I can handle it.(Looks at Ryoga)But then again, Ryoga seems very happy to be here, so I guess I shouldn't mind seeing it with him. Ryoga: (Estatic)A-all right, let's go, then.(Walks off) Akane: (Realizing Ryoga is going the wrong way)Ryoga. Ryoga: (Looks around and spots Akane)Yes? Akane: (Smiles slightly)The entrance is this way. Ryoga: (Laughs weakly)Y-yes it is. Akane: (Thinking)Maybe this was a bad idea. (Ryoga pays for their tickets.) Akane: You don't have to pay. I can pay for myself also. Ryoga: (Smiles nervously)N-no. D-don't worry about it. It's no problem. Akane: Um, okay.(Thinking)Gee, I wonder where Ryoga gets his money from? (Together, Ryoga and a slightly hesitant Akane enter the movie theater. A second later, Reia and Akemi appear from around the corner of the theater. It seems they had been hiding there all this time) Akemi: That was Ryoga. That was Ranko's boyfried. Reia: And he was with that other girl again. Akemi: I guess Ranma's harsh talk with him didn't work. (Akemi and Reia look at one another) Reia: Let's go tell Ranko. She isn't going to like this though. Akemi: Maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt. Let's go find out what Ryoga's up. (Reia and Akemi walk up to the front booth. There is a young girl working behind the counter) Reia: Excuse me, but can you tell us which movie that boy with the yellow and black bandanna and that girl went into? The boy is about this tall (Holds hand about five inches above her head) has short black hair... Akemi: And is also cute. Reia: Akemi....that's Ranko's boyfriend you're talking about. You shouldn't be saying something like that. Akemi: (Smiles weakly)Sorry. (The girl behind the counter recalls having seen that cute boy they girls described. She tells them of the title of the movie) Reia: T-they're going to see that? But it's scary! Akemi: ............... Reia: I'm not going in there. You know how watching scary movies at night gives me nightmares. Akemi: C'mon, this is for Ranko's sake. Don't you want to know what Ryoga and that girl is together? That's the same girl we saw the other day, just shortly before we saw Ranma. Reia: I guess you're right. Akemi: Of course I'm right. Let's go in there. With luck, we would be able to spot them before they sit down. Reia: Fine. (Reia and Akemi pay for their tickets and enter the theater. Inside, they spot Ryoga and Akane entering the theater showing that particular movie. They follow after them and sit near the back, all the while keeping a close eye on Ryoga and Akane as they sat closer toward the front.) (Time passes. The movie soon starts. About five minutes into the movie, Reia has a hand held tightly in Akemi's) Akemi: (Frightened)T-this is so scary.... Reia: (Gulps)Y-yeah.... (About ten minutes into the movie, after the third scream could be heard echoing through the theater, Akemi turns to Reia) Akemi: I-I can't watch anymore. Reia: B-but what about Ryoga and that girl? Akemi: This movie is too scary. I have to get out of here. Reia: But...but.... Akemi: I'm sorry. Reia: (Sighs)Fine. I'll leave with you. Akemi: No. You don't have to leave on my account. You can stay. Reia: Don't worry, I'll come along. We can wait for Ryoga and that girl outside the theater. This movie'll be over in about an hour and a half. We can go eat and then come back. Akemi: Y-y-you can even consider eating after what we saw on the screen? (Someone from behind them 'shushes' the two girls. Reia and Akemi turn around to face the middle-aged man. They stick their tongues out at him. The twenty-year old girl sitting next to him laughs at the man's surprised look as Reia and Akemi leave the theater) Akemi: Um, so what are we going to do now? I don't think I can eat....at least not for a few hours or so. Reia: Fine. Then let's go see another movie. There's a movie starting in five minutes from now that I really want to see.(Mentions movie title) Akemi: That one? Oh, I really want to see that one too. Let's go see it. Reia: But since the other movie is already running, that means we'll have to leave our movie about ten minutes early to catch Ryoga and that girl as they're leaving since that theather will be letting out earlier. Akemi: All right. (Akemi and Reia go into a movie room adjacent to the one Ryoga and Akane had gone in) (Time passes. Over an hour and a half passes to be more accurate. The scene changes onto Ranma and Shori. After having spent all the time at the amusement park, Ranma and Shori have finally arrive at Shori's house.) Ranma: I've had a lot of fun tonight. Shori: (Smiles)Same here. This is probably one of the funnest nights I've ever had. Ranma: (Nervous)Um....w-would you like to do that again sometime? Shori: (Thinking)Oh my god. He's asking me out again.(Begins to speak)Of course I would. (Thinking)Oh oh, I hope I didn't sound too eager.... Ranma: That's good to hear. Um....how about next week? Shori: That'd be great. (Awkward silence) Ranma: (Thinking)Um, w-what should I do now? Shori: (Thinking)Is he going to kiss me? If he does, it'll be the best way to end this date. Ranma: (Thinking)Okay, I can do this.(Leans forward) Shori: (Heart racing and thinking)He's going to do it.(Closes her eyes) (Ranma leans forward a little more and kisses Shori on the lips softly. Instinctively, Shori's arm moves up to wrap around the back of Ranma's neck and Ranma's hands wrap around the small of Shori's back. The kiss only lasts for a second but feels like it had lasted much longer. It is uncertain as to who had broken the kiss first but was clear that neither had wanted it to end.) Ranma: (Feeling warm all over)Um, I-I guess I better get going now. Shori: (Blushing)Okay. I'll see you later. Ranma: Sure.(Walks backwards)I'll see you next week. (Ranma almost trips over his own feet but manages to gain his balance instead of making of fool on himself. Shori giggles as she realizes that Ranma is every bit as disoriented from the kiss as her. Ranma waves goodbye before he turns around darts off, managing to stop for one moment to open the front gate instead of walking right through it. After Ranma disappears, Shori leans back against the door, her arms crossed over the front of the chest as she holds onto the stuffed animals.) Shori: (Sighs)Ranma. (The door behind Shori opens and Shori ends up falling backwards and into the house, landing on her back. She stares upward and sees her butler standing before her) Butler: I'm sorry, Shori-sama, I thought I had heard something coming from out front and had wanted to check.(Helps Shori to her feet)Are you okay? Shori: (Blushing beet red)I-I'm fine. (Shori starts to giggle. Had Ranma been there a second earlier, it would had been quite an embarrassing scene. A moment later, the butler and Shori head into the house, the butler closing the door behind them) (The scene changes onto Ryoga and Akane. They are on their way out the movie theater. Ryoga seems extremely happy to be with Akane. Akane looks like she's going to be sick) Akane: (Thinking)That was the scariest movie I have ever seen. Ryoga: (Thinking)Thank you! Akane had held onto me during those scary scenes! Oh how I wished those moments had lasted forever! Akane: I guess I better get going home now.(Thinking)That movie was so scary. I'm never going to goto sleep tonight. I'm just glad Ryoga is with me. There's no way I want to walk home by myself after having seen such a scary movie. Ryoga: Oh, yeah, sure. Let's go.(Walks off) Akane: (Taking several deep breaths)All right. My heart's not racing anymore. Let's get going.(Looks around)Ryoga? (Akane looks around for Ryoga but doesn't find him. Just a few minutes after Akane disappears around a corner, Reia and Akemi emerge from the theater) Reia: Great. Just great. We're never going to find them now. Akemi: I'm sorry. It's just that I couldn't possibly leave, not when he was going to tell her that he loved her. Reia: (Sighs)Yeah, that was a great scene, wasn't it? Akemi: Yeah, and we would have missed it if we had left early. Reia: Um, I guess you're right. Akemi: What do you think we should do now? Reia: Well, I guess we should head on home. There's no use now since Ryoga and that girl is probably long gone now. Afterall, their movie let out ten minutes ago. Akemi: I guess you're right. Reia: Let's get going then. Akemi: All right. (Reia and Akemi head off into the night. Akane comes back around the corner a minute later) Akane: Ryoga?(Dreadful)Oh great of all the time Ryoga gets lost, it's on the one night where I'm scared of my own shadow.... (Akane looks around some more for Ryoga but doesn't find him. Aftera few minutes, she gives up. When she returns to the front of the theater, the theater is already closed, all of the lights off. The street seems very dark and lonely....and scary. Looking around, Akane realizes that she definitely doesn't want to be here.) Akane: Why'd you have to get lost of all times? Ranma: (Places a hand on her shoulder)Akane? Akane: Eeeeek!!!! (Akane turns around and slaps her attacker. Unfortunately, it had been Ranma. Ranma is sent flying bodily into a nearby wall, becoming embedded in it before the wall collapses ontop of him. He manages to climb out of the debris a moment later, unscathed) Ranma: (Glaring)Jeez, what'd'jya do that for?! Akane: (Heart racing)R-Ranma? Ranma: Yeah, who else do you think it is? Jeez... (Akane glomps onto Ranma) Akane: I'm scared!!! Ranma: Erk! (Akane realizes what she was doing and releases hold of Ranma) Akane: .................. Ranma: ................. Akane: ................. Ranma: Um.....what was that for? Akane: (Keeping chin high)Nothing. Ranma: What were you scared of? There's no one around. Speaking of which, why are you out this late? Akane: ................Um, what about you? Why are you out so late?(Thinking)Good, I should keep the conversation away from myself. Ranma: I asked you first. Akane: Um.............I-I saw a movie. Ranma: ..................with Ryoga? Akane: How'd you know? Ranma: (Softly)I do now. Akane: ................... Ranma: Well, I guess Ryoga got lost right after the movie, ne? Akane: Uh huh. Ranma: Well, let's get going home then. Akane: Okay. (Ranma notices that Akane is walking a lot closer to Ranma than usual. He realizes that she looks like she is afraid of her own shadow.) Ranma: Whatever movie you saw must had been really scary... Akane: .................. Ranma: Jeez, do ya hafta walk so close? There's nothing to be scared of. Akane: I-I'm not scared.... Ranma: (Points in random direction)Look out!!! A zombie!!!! Akane: Eeeeek!!!(Glomps onto Ranma) Ranma: Erk! Y-you're c-choking me. I-I was o-only kidding.(Catches breath)So....you're not scared? (Raised eyebrow) Akane: (Releases grip)Ranma!!! You're such a jerk!!! Ranma: (Chuckles)That was funny. Akane: (Angry)Ranma!! Ranma: Eek, it's the murderer!!! Akane: Eeeek!!!! (Jumps into a battlestance) (Ranma goes into a fit of laughter) Akane: ...................... Ranma: (Calms down)I'm sorry. It's just that I couldn't help myself.....I couldn't pass something like that up. Akane: Hmph! Ranma: C'mon, it's funny. Think about it. (Akane thinks about it. She cracks a smile. It does seem funny. There was no reason for her to be so scared. It was just a movie. She looks at Ranma. Seeing that he is having trouble holding back his urge to laugh, Akane starts to giggle. Ranma starts to laught. Akane then starts to laugh. After a minute of laughing, the feeling to fright Akane had been experienced is totally gone.) Ranma: Y'see, it is funny, now that ya think about it. Akane: (Wipes tear from eyes)Thank you. Ranma: Eh? Akane: I guess I needed that. Ranma: Needed what? Akane: A laugh. Ranma: Huh? I don't follow ya. Akane: Nothing. Ranma: (Shrugging shoulder)All right. Well, let's get going then. (Akane and Ranma head on home. This time, Akane seems to be walking pretty close to Ranma, but it wasn't for fear of her own shadow. It just felt right. Ranma walks on the sidewalk next to Akane, his hands in his pocket. Akane has her hands by her side) Akane: (Thinking)Should I put my arm around his? Ranma: What? Do I have something on my face? Akane: Excuse me? Ranma: Why're ya looking at me like that? Do I have something on my face? Akane: (Giggles slightly)No. Nevermind. (Awkward silence) Akane: Um, Ranma. Ranma: Hm? Akane: W-where did you go tonight? I mean, you weren't around the house and all. Ranma: ................... Akane: Well? Ranma: No where in particular. Um, I figured I would tail Happousei and stop him from one of his usual panty raids. Akane: Oh. Is that all? Ranma: Um, uh huh. (Thinking)I should change the subject.(Speaks)Um, so, how was the movie? Akane: It was okay. It was really scary. (Ranma and Akane indulge in some actual conversation. They arrive home in about ten minutes. It felt shorter to the both of them though. Upon arriving home, Ranma and Akane realize that all the lights are off throughout the entire house) Ranma: Oh man, everyone's asleep. Akane: You're right. Ranma: Do you have the key? Cause I don't. Akane: No, I don't. Ranma: Great. So now what do we do? Akane: Well, we could always climb in through the window. Ranma: Fine. (Ranma and Akane walk around the house, trying to open every window they come across. None of them open) Ranma: Great. They're all close shut. Akane: We can climb in through my window. I don't lock it. Ranma: Yeah, but it's on the second floor. Akane: So? Ranma: What if you fall? You'll hurt yourself. Akane: .................... Ranma: I'll climb through it. You stay down here. Akane: (Thinking)Waitaminute, I can't let Ranma go into my room. It's a mess! I don't want him seeing what a mess my room is.(Speaks)Um, don't worry about it. I won't fall. Besides, I've climbed in through my window a lot of time before. Ranma: (Shruggs shoulders)Okay. Whatever ya say. (Akane walks over to a nearby tree that had a branch that extended toward her room window. She quickly climbs up.) Ranma: (Jokingly)Hey, Akane, didn't I once tell you blue pokey dotted panties didn't suit you? Akane: W-what?! (Because of Ranma's comment, Akane loses her footing and slips off the branch and falls toward the ground a story below. Just before she hit the ground, however, her landing was broken by Ranma catching her in his arms.) Akane: .............................. Ranma: ............................. Akane: (Getting angry)You jerk!!! Ranma: Hey, I was only kidding.(Puts Akane down) Akane: No! I betcha you did look, you pervert!!! Ranma: Waitaminute. Now hold on a sec. I said I was only joking. And no, I did not look. Hmph, it's not like I would have looked even if I could have. Akane: And just what's wrong with that?(Blushes and thinking)God, what am I saying? Ranma: Huh? What did ya say? Akane: (Blushign beet red)N-nevermind.... Ranma: Look, since you're so clumsy, I'll go in through your window. Akane: No!! Ranma: (Taken aback)All right. Fine. I still don't see what the big idea is. Akane: I'll go in through my window. You stay down here. Ranma: (Shrugs shoulders)Fine. Akane: (Slowly starts to climb back up tree)Don't you dare try and look up my dress. Ranma: Like I ever would!!! Akane: (Giggles)Baka. (Akane climbs up the tree and slips into the house via her open bedroom window. We see Ranma walk from the tree and to the front door. After a few moments, the front door opens and we see Akane standing in its place.) Ranma: 'bout time. Akane: Hey, don't I get a thank you? Ranma: Yeah, fine, thank you. Akane: (Smiles a bit)You're welcome. (Ranma enters the house, Akane closing the door behind them)
