Jeffrey "OneShot" Wong Ranma 1/2: I miss you In the far off distance, the sun was just beginning its acent, its light shedding warmth on a cold world such as this one. The skies shone a terrific hue of orange, like a glowing sea of flames, the white clouds becoming accenuated up against the bright colored backdrop of a sky. In the far east, the sun peek out up through the snow-capped mountains, its light blinding if one were to look in that general direction. Soft winds could be heard as it gently blew over the grasslands, rustling the grass ever so slightly, causing it to gently flutter back and forth, to and fro. The flowers that intermittenly dotted that field were slowly starting to open up, budding up on that beautiful spring morning, hoping to catch the sun's rays before it disappeared from this world once again. A tree, an ancient looking tree, was perched on top of a single hill that ruined an otherwise flat grassy plain. The hill was a small hill, most likely unnoticed by all if it weren't for that tree. The leaves on that tree swayed back and forth as winds blew through the field, its rustling sound able to soothe one's nerves. But that tree wasn't what made that hill special. No. It was what was near the tree that was special. Facing towards the east, towards the dawning sun, was Ranma's grave. Akane silently wept as she stood before that grave, her tears glistened in the sun's shedding light as it gently flowed down the side of her cheeks, falling off her chin and onto the grass. In her hands, she held a single flower, a white lily with a purple-brimmed tip. It was a normal flower that she held, able to be found anywhere if one looked hard enough. Although the flower looked normal, it wasn't. That flower was very special to Akane. It was the flower given to her by her true love, Ranma. The flower was given to her not too long ago, given as a symbol of friendship. As Akane silently wept, she could easily remeber that touching moment when Ranma showed his feelings for her. She remember how it was given to her after her beautiful white, pink-bowed hat had been blown off her head by a passing gust of wind. She remebered how she stood there for several moments, not knowing what to believe when he offered her that flower. As she stared into his eyes, her shell of a defense crumbled beneath her, for she knew he was sincere. As she gently took hold of the flower, her eyes were slowly starting to welt up with tears, she on the verge of breakdown, on the verge of embracing Ranma and telling him just how much she loved him. Akane knelt down before the grave and ever-so-gently placed the lily in front of Ranma's tombstone. As she did that, she broke down and started sobbing, throwing herself ontop of Ranma's tombstone, yearning to be with Ranma once again. "Ranma, I love you" she said between sobs, her head buried deep in her arms, tears trickling down, falling onto the cold marble-made tombstone. She regretted not having told him she loved him on that day, or any day for that matter. But most of all, it was that day she regretted. The setting was just right, yet she never told him. But now that she spoke of her love, she knew it was a useless effort. Ranma was no longer part of this world, having left and gone to a better place. During the time he was alive, Akane had taken him for granted, never telling him just how much she loved him, not letting him know that he was loved. "Oh, Ranma, I've been so lonely without you" she continued, sobbing terribly "I miss you" But those words would go unheard. All that was left behind was a shadow of Ranma's former self. First off, I would like to thank Rumiko Takahashi for creating the Ranma universe. Otherwise, I wouldn't have written this fanfic. I hope you enjoyed reading it. Please send comments. I would really appreciate it. I hope I got some sort of emotional response out of you when you read this. When flaming me, please keep in mind that I had this idea where Ranma was dead and Akane was at his grave had been stuck in my head for so long that I just had to write it. I'm sorry if you are, in anyway, disappointed when you found out this fanfic had no plot, no villians, and no zaniness. I'm sorry if you find this fanfic a little too serious for the Ranma universe. But if you have read any of my other works, you will notice that I write in a more serious fashion than most others. Anyway, I hope this is a worthy contribution towards anime. P.S.-If you want any of my other works, just ask. Jeffrey "OneShot" Wong
