Jailbars are always spaced too wide apart.

Watching animated shows and playing video games, I noticed something rather odd and unsettling. Jailbars seem to be always spaced too far apart. Granted, this is me being very anal, but I don't care. That's why I like rants, I can be anal without seeming anal. Have you ever seen how wide jailbars seem spaced apart in games and animated shows? They're spaced really wide apart. When you see a character in jail behind bars, you can tell that those bars are spaced so wide apart that ANYONE in said cell can just squeeze through the bars and escape.

Okay, sure, I'm sounding like I'm being completely anally retentive with something like that. Afterall, the bars are spaced wide apart so that the characters are seen easier by viewers because there are less bars clustered together to obscure a character, but still, is it so hard to create some semblance of realism?

And don't tell me not once you guys haven't thought 'Fuck, why don't the characters just squeeze through the bars?' when you notice how wide apart the jailbars are because that's bullshit. I know how you guys think and I know you've thought that at least once in your life. Really, I know how you think. For instance when you're at a red light in you car with your blinker on, waiting to turn, you watch the blinker of the car in front of you to see if your blinker and that car's blinker are in synch. I know that's the way you think.

Anyway, it's weird how wide apart some jailbars are spaced in games and animated shows. Sure, the game and animated shows aren't real, but still, can't people at least try and make it seem realistic? I myself prefer a sense of realism over being able to see the character not being obscured slightly by jailbars. By the way I think of it, when I see jailbars spaced too wide apart, so wide that a character can easily squeeze in between those bars, I feel that whoever made said game/animated show didn't want to bother appealing to our yearning for realism, even at a miniscule level.

If jailbars are spaced wide apart that you can easily tell that a character can squeeze his/her head through the spacing, then that means jailbars are spaced too wide apart.
